How much does it cost to search for a Care Provider?

It costs nothing to join or search for a BestHomeHealthCare.com provider

 

How do I post a care request or job?

After you register, you can continue on to post a care request or you can login and just go to “My Account”. There you will find a navigation tab for Job Posting to click on. You can post requests for home care services, housekeeping or post a job for a remodeling project you need done. Just complete this simple form and let providers find you. 

 

How do I update or close my care request or job?

Login to your account and go to “My Account” located at the top of the page.  Once in, you can go to your care request or job posting and click on edit or end.

 

How do I search for a care provider?

From either the home page or another page you simply select the type of provider you are looking for from a drop down menu and enter your zip code or the zip code where services will be delivered. You can also refine your search through the left side navigation bar after your results appear.

 

How do I know my Care Provider is the best?

Each provider that submits a profile is reviewed by our staff for completeness. Although BestHomeHealthCare.com is a resource platform to help you locate services, we recommend that you search for providers that have completed the most information possible. Providers should a detailed description of services they provide, references, photos or a video. Individual providers should also have a 3rd party background check available. Good hiring practices include checking the background of your potential provider, calling references and interviewing candidates.

 

Why can’t I contact a Care Provider directly?

We don’t just want anyone to call providers unless there is an interest. It also keeps other companies from just using our site as a call list.

 

Why do I need to register, if the service is free?

Registering on BestHomeHealthCare.com lets us know you are a real person and not a software program skimming through the site for names and phone numbers. It also allows protection puts everyone under the same terms of use of the site.

 

Do I need to register to buy products?

No you do not need to register to buy products.

 

How do I report a problem I had with a Care Provider?

You can contact us by clicking on the “Contact Us” link. Detail the nature of your problem and if that provider is in violation of any of our terms of use, they will be removed from the community.

 

Is my information secure?

Your personal medical information is secured to industry standards. We do not sell, rent or disclose personally identifiable information, medical or not. Please see our privacy policy for more details.

 

How do I run a background check on a Care Provider?

If an individual does not have a background check on file, you can request them to run one on themselves through our third party provider, Acxiom. Acxiom will run a very thorough background check and deliver what is called a “Public Access Key” to the provider. The provider will then give you that key in order to view the results of the background check on Acxiom’s web site.

 

What is included in a background check and how reliable are they?

The Acxiom Identity and Background Check service verifies that the individual running the check is actually that person and not some other individual. Acxiom checks national and county databases for criminal records along with the sex offenders list, terrorist watch list and more. For further information on who Acxiom is you can visit their web site at www.Acxiom.com

 

How do I change my password?

Simply login to your account and click on Profile and Settings. There you can edit your password.

 

I forgot my password, what do I do?

Click on “forgot password?” and we will email you temporary password which you can change once you logged in to your account. We will only email the registered email on file. No exceptions, sorry.

 

How do I close my account?

Simply log in to your account and send us a request through the contact us page. In this manner we know you are the valid user.

 

What is MyCare and FamilyCare?

MyCare allows you to create a health profile for yourself or an individual that you have the legal right to do so. You can list medications, emergency and professional contact information, allergies, complete and appointment calendar and more. Through the FamilyCare feature you can grant access to family members or other individuals involved in the care process to view and/or edit any of the information. In order to participate in any of these programs, it will require a separate password from the one you originally registered with. This double password protection is for your benefit.


FAQs for Individual Care Providers


What is the difference between an individual or sole proprietor provider and a company or agency provider?

Either you are a corporation with one or more employees or an individual just providing services yourself. If you are an individual, your name would appear in the search listings as opposed to the name of a company. Otherwise there is no real difference.  

 

How much does it cost to join BestHomeHealthCare.com?

A basic listing is only $99.00 per year per billing zip code. Each billing zip code has a 40 mile radius which includes multiple free zip codes. Your service area, based on your zip code, can easily be viewed by looking at a map of your service area. If you want to view what others will view as your service area, just search on your zip code and when the list of providers is displayed go to “map” at the top of the search results.

 

How will BestHomeHealthCare.com promote my listing?

We use a combination of traditional and internet marketing techniques to drive individuals and families to our site. If you would like more details on how we are going to drive more traffic to our site, please call one our member support team members at 216-478-CARE.

 

How do I post a profile?

Creating a profile is easy. Just register first so we can verify that you have a valid email, and then select the type of care provider you are. You will be asked a series of basic questions that will allow us to build and display your profile when you are finished.

 

How do I update my profile?

Simply log in to your account (“My Account”) and click on “Profile and Settings”. Here you can change they type of services you provide, your service area, availability and hours and much more.

 

How do I get listed with the “Best Profile” logo?

In order for your listing to appear with the Best Profile Logo, you have to have at least 2 references, a photo, video testimonial and access to your background check through Acxiom,

 

How do I search for a care requests or jobs posted by Care Seekers?

As long as you are registered and logged in to your account, you can pull up job posting by others seeking care in your area. Click on the drop down menu in the search box and scroll down to “Job Postings” and select the type of posting you want to search for. Next enter your zip code and click on the “search” button.

 

Why can’t I contact a Family or Indvidual looking for care, directly?

We don’t just want anyone to contact care seekers unless there is an interest. It also keeps other companies from just using our site as a call or lead list without registering.

 

Do I need to register to buy products?

Why do I want to run a background check on myself and who is Acxiom?

Having your background check on file with Acxiom builds confidence with those seeking care services. We have partnered with Acxiom, a publicly traded, global information and background check provider. Acxiom will verify your identity first then run your background check and securely keep the results on their web site.

 

How do I run a background check on myself?

After Acxiom verifies who you are, you can request Acxiom to run a very thorough background check and deliver two codes to you: one is called a “Public Access Key” and the other is a “Private Access Key”. For individuals that want to view your background check, you would give them the “Public Access Key” in order to view the results on Acxiom’s web site. Before they view the results, they will have to provide their name and contact information.  No one can view your background check unless they have your Public Access Key. The “Private Access Key” is for you to log into your Acxiom account and see who has looked at your information.
