Non-profit Offers Free House Cleaning to Disabled and Elderly Community Heroes

Cleveland, OH (October 28, 2010) – BestHomeHealthCare.com has added Cleaning for Heroes to its online list of partner non-profit organizations. Cleaning for Heroes is the only national non-profit organization dedicated to providing free cleaning and other home maintenance services to disabled or elderly veterans belonging to the United States Military, local police or fire departments.

Cleaning for Heroes, through its network, provides free housekeeping/cleaning, landscaping and repair services as its way of giving thanks for the sacrifices our nations community heroes make every day for America – its citizens, our communities and our country.

“We are excited about our relationship with Cleaning for Heroes. Their mission and dedication to helping others is inspiring. We know that our site will connect numerous families and providers to their services during their time of need,” commented Bill Tymoszczuk, CEO and founder of BestHomeHealthCare.com.

Members of the United States Military, local police department or fire department who have injuries sustained in the line of duty that make the task of maintaining their homes difficult are eligible for services from Cleaning for Heroes. Elderly veterans who live alone or with an aging spouse are also eligible.

“Having personally experienced the health and life challenges our service men and women and their families face after an injury, day-to-day life can be overwhelming… Our new partnership with BestHomeHealthCare.com will be an incredible asset and resource for enhancing our mission and services to both our clients and providers,” stated Torrey Shannon, Executive Director of Cleaning for Heroes.

“Heroes come in many forms,” she added. “You don’t have to be a combat veteran to be a hero. I consider those who give their time, money or concern to this program as everyday heroes. The residual effect of providing this type of service improves the health and overall well-being of the recipients and their families, allowing the veterans more time to focus on their healing, family bonding, community involvement, and productivity. In many cases, the assistance given by Cleaning for Heroes can prevent recurring hospitalizations or placement into a nursing home. By keeping the veterans in their own homes, this helps maintain the dignity of the veteran and saves taxpayers the cost of absorbing any additional medical care given by overburdened military treatment facilities.”
